I remember those, I cant tell you who made it but i can tell you roughly when. mid 1960 to late 1970's and I believe K-Mart was selling them. they might be a wham-o branded item.

Use a plastic tube and a balloon stretched over the rim. Fix the tube to a handle and viola.

Well, I tried to bid on it and the price shot up to $50 bucks by the time the auction ended.... must have been a real collector item... didnt expect it to go that high...

I thought Joerg was the first one to use condoms as bands. Guess I was wrong...

Capt.Bacon has a good idea. I was wondering where you'd get replacement bands for that thing if you won the auction (assuming you wanted to actually shoot it). Balloons would be answer. I'm sure you could find some approximately the same size as the original rubber.

I wonder if they make ribbed Theraband for increased shooting pleasure?

It went for $50 bucks whow! I remember them selling for less than $5 at the most. they were made out of bakelite plastic and when they broke the duco model glue we had wouldn't fix them. they should be easy to make: a handle, 1" abs coupling, a couple of screws, some binding wire, and 3 - 4 condoms(lifestiles?).

ribbed therabands - intriguing idea, ribbed length wise, for "his" shooting pleasure.
