You are right that the darker wood looks better. Very good work. I see you shaped it to fit to your hand, looks comfortable.

Hi,I use "Beize" from "Aqua Clou" or "Liberon", but any other will work to.
If you're not sure whether you like the color on your slingshot. Test it first
on the same piece of wood. You can never tell what
color the wood will be, because that depends on the hardness of the wood, how
dry it is and of course, how often you put on the "Beize". Unfortunately,
and usually there is still a surprise. But beware, Beize can not be so easily
grind down. Once applied, it is difficult to remove again, because it goes deep
in the surface of the wood. Beize is like oil, it makes the structure of the wood more visible but you need another finish, because
"beizen" only leaves a dull surface, such as the grip of 400er
sandpaper not very comfortable. Chose finish you like, Wax, Oil, Epoxi, ...
Some short tips, the first time you put "Beize" on the wood, you have to work very
quickly, otherwise you get unattractive borders on the wood, that have nothing
to do with the structure of the wood. Wear disposable gloves, and use a metal
free brush, or a small sponge or soft flap. I like small peaces of a sponge,
wich are very cheap and easy to cut in peaces.

Maybe you know all these things, if so, feel free to do it the way you like.

Good luck for your work...

Sorry for using the Word
"Beize" or "beizen" so often, but I do not know the exact
word in english when asking google, allway gives me a different or wrong
translations. If sombody knows the correct translation, that will be great.

The bold type and the three question marks make it seem a bit aggressive to me...
I don't want to spam this topic with a issue like this, and distract the attention of the awesome slingshot.
Sincerely, Courier
