Is there a BBcode Guru out there that could explain how to embed pictures properly on the forum ? Because I tried different way to do it and it does not work for me :(

When I try to embed an image with the IMG function the only thing displayed is

[] with IMG inside and it is not clickable.

when I use the URL function now I get a

[] with IMG inside that is clickable and opens the picture in a new tab.

when I try to use the Upload and attach a file with ATTACH=full I get

[View Attachment 40125] that is clickable but leads to a "You do not have permission to view this page or perform this action." Page.

But if I use the attachment # of another members media the link opens his pictures in a new tab  but still the image is not embedded in my post.

I checked the code of other posts that works and the same code with my media # img or my url does not work to embed pictures.

What is the matter with me ?!?

The only thing that works is click on "upload a file" button.

You will then be given a choice to post thumbnail or full pic. Try full pic. Thumbnails are for people who honk their horns while stuck in traffic jams.

    And you are done.

If anything goes wrong, use the EDIT feature.

This is how I do it step by step.

    1. Put pic on desktop of your computer (or any other folder).

    2. Click on UPLOAD A FILE. You have to make sure the name of your file is less than 100 characters long.

    Click on FULL IMAGE
    Like this:

    And you are done.

    Click on POST REPLY.

It's also a great idea that your pics aren't like 5-10 Megabytes... use an app to shrink the image down somewhat. I don't know what the upper file size limit is but I assume there is one.

    Thanks Guys,

I did not know that when you do a preview it will not show up but when you actually post the tread it works perfectly.
