Hey guyz!

I have an interesting question, or maybe its interesting only for me.
There is 2 types of band attachment with different bands.
Type 1: http://i49.servimg.com/u/f49/17/19/45/49/badoqu10.jpg
Type 2: http://blog.tinkeringmonkey.com/wp-content/gallery/slingshot/7_done_whole.jpg

Type 1 its an easy attachement with usually a theraband gold. Just wrap around the fork with a piece of leftover material.

Type 2 is attached by a hole on the fork and it has a round teraband.

Do they have any advantages over the other? I like the type 2, beacause its easyer to change and looks better, then the type 1.
But it is make the wood weaker, isnt it?

Every answer is appreciated, thanks.

If you look at the competitive slingshot world you will see an advantage for flat bands. A lot of people like tubes though. I personally prefer flat bands but it's like Football teams, and a$$holes. Everybody has one.:D

Hi Ataegina,

What you show are not just two variations, these are completely different rubbers in form and draw weight. What Jim linked in here is a great resource.

I prefer classical wrap and tuck. Needs some finger dexterity but not so much. For the pouch end look for clove hitch or constrictor knot.

Some slingshots can handle clips for bands (and smaller tubes) or hook like shape for looped tubes.

Welcome here mate!
