    Greetings!

Was toying around with some ideas for Slingshots that you can take apart for better storage.

I wanted the assembling quick (3sec) and a simple design.

This is my first try, just three solid aluminum pieces that work together as a Slingshot thanks to fitting, angular holes.

120° Fork angle. 2nd Forkarm locks the first in Place.

No Problems with comming apart when you pull into the direction the rubber does, but i still want to lock the 2nd Forkarm in Place somehow. Thinking about a knurled-head screw just into the top that locks both arms in place.

A Version 1.2 would be a solid head (with the 2 angular holes for the fork) and a hollow handle where you keep the forkarms in.

    A nice weekend to everyone.

Very nice idea Antraxx. I'm really excited about the next version!

  6. Moin moin,

Well, it´s easier to make more Fork-Sets. Longer ones, shorter ones...takes just a couple of minutes and you can leave the rubber on :)

Okay, THAT is one very impressively clever slingshot. What a fantastic idea! Just toss this into a pack and off you go.

When you get the engineering stuff all worked out to your complete satisfaction, I'll place an order for five. Um, better make that six. The Weimaraner says he wants one too. :p

    Wonderful idea!
I completely agree with Thistle. It is like a "Slingshot to go". :D

I like that design! But extraordinary design need not necessarily a benefit

if you can put easily in your pocket – nice
if you can change the fork tips – nice

I am very curious to version 1.2 :)

    Excellent work!

    You know AnTrAxX...

It's a wonderful job! You paired craftsmanship and aesthetics, design and art.

Aaand opened a gate :D and I like the way it is. It smells as a new direction. Fresh breeze.

    Thank you!

[Edited: I came from the 2.0 thread :) and just forgot to switch, but this model is also a great piece :)
    Excuse me ]
