My neighbor's dead tree was just cut down and I helped myself to this fork. It took alot of carving but the colors are amazing. The blue that runs into black is pretty cool and the wood is rock hard!<br><img src="http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj310/sean0119/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_4634.jpg" border="0" alt=""><br><img src="http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj310/sean0119/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_0017.jpg" border="0" alt=""><br><br>

So those colors are natural eh? That is pretty neat!, looks like its got a nice holding position as well, sorta like a hand howitzer?

Thanks guys! Ryan, the colors appear in different layers of the wood as it rots and creates the colors. I put a couple coats of Danish oil and I may wax it. I'll post more dead wood forks soon.
