i am thinking of getting the dankung panther that jeorg designed. i want to know what the strongest bands are that you can use without bending or breaking it. i usually use bands with a 50-100 pound draw weight. has anyone tested it (jorg?) for the maximum draw weight?

The Panther is very strong. But my toughest bands are four strips of TBG per side, the old, strong stuff, cut 2,8cm (fork) x 1,8 cm (pouch). Effectively that is 1,5 full (old type) TBG strips, full width. <br><br>The draw weight of such bands is 52 pounds. I use it for the very heavy ammo (1" steel balls and up). At that draw, the fork does not give at all. <br><br>I have never seen anyone who can draw a 100 lb handheld slingshot. That would be eight strips of TBG per side, quite monstrous, and only suitable for huge cannon balls. What bands/ammo are you using? <br><br>

<div>You are either trolling or mistaken about the draw weight of your slingshot. Joerg is not a small dude, and if he can't draw a 100lb slingshot, the chances are you can't either, unless you are a super beast. I would also be interested to know what bands and ammo you are using.</div><div class="clear"></div><div class="signature_div">

50 - 100 pounds? Sure. What are you shootin? Bowling balls? That amount of draw weight makes no Sense for a slingshots.

<div>There comes a point where more draw weight does not increase velocity, and can actually slow things down. How about posting some pics or a video.</div><div class="clear"></div><div class="signature_div">

I will test a panther frame with 120 pounds for you, no problem. But if you can truly draw a slingshot with 100 lb into full butterfly, then you can easily dethrone Tobias!<br><br>Have a go at it, man.

<div>If you post a video of you shooting a one hundred pound draw weight hand held slingshot, I will be the first in line to publicly apologize for my suspicions.</div><div class="clear"></div><div class="signature_div">
