yer normally its just slowing down the fps, maybe a cooler fan didnt work or was full of dust, could have been something with heat. thats the only possibility
2. Yeah, without proper cooling components can unsolder themselves from the board.

As i said, i know not much about computers. They can tell me everything just to make me pay. The computer still here, i will try to find someone with no bad intentions to take a look at it. It lays there for almost one year.

  4. You should deffinatly have a friend look at it and get the dust off that poor thing! If nothing else it can be re-purposed into a home arcade machine. (I am actually working on this project myself, just need to get the wood for the cabinet.)

oh its a notebook? well that explains a lot. notebooks usually got heat problems, thats why i wont use them for playing games. plus win vista is crap. sorry to say that, but its the truth. its slow, gettin slower every day. notebooks are ok for workin, my wife got one, but hers usually got to cool down after a few hours. and its just 2 years old, cost 750 euros, and i would never pay that again. u get a better pc for that price. so if u dont need to carry it a lot, dont buy a notebook. sorry for the hard words, but thats my oppinion. if u buy something new, buy a normal pc.

  8. They are horrible heat producing beasts, I have a pair of external fans on my little dell and they can barely handle it when I play Rift or Combat arms.

yer, just made a google search, seems like ur notebook got many problems with the graphic card, something was wrong with the chips they had used for this one.
they made a bios update for it, which made the fan runnin at full speed all the time

I think the same as you do, especially about that Vista s**t. The boy wanted it so much, he was pissing us off so we bought it. At that moment it was close to 1000 Euro.
It still work for 15 minutes then it stop just like that... poufff. I did'nt try it for long time ago but as it was said above, it is probablly a question of cooling. Maybe if i put it in cold water with ice...

I just did a search and Fujitsu Siemens knows about that problem. Normally i can have it repared or replaced, maybe get my money back the legal way( justice etc,..) But i don' t want to start calling, e- mailing,... i think this one will be a good target for testing Arturo Borquez' s new alternative ammo .
DON' T BUY FROM FUJITSU SIEMENS.
Anyway, thanks Tysonspapa for your help.

  17. Laptop or noteboooks are usually quite sturdy, the battery on most models will actually stop smaller caliber bullets, if you actually do shoot it you must post a video! lol

I will for sure. I just gonna take the hard drive and the rams out of it and then, introduce him to my WiiShot

  19. Purdy shooter. I like the look of wooden slingshots but since I plan on using mine primarily for hunting I am worried they won't hold up to the strain. Not strain from the bands, I've seen too many wood shooters with powerful rubber to think that anymore, but the amount of abuse I tend to put on things in the woods (Never had a pair of boots make it past a few months and I constantly break knives and axe handles) makes me think I should stick to metal construction.

Ps - I forgot about the hard drive, in a destop pc they are quite solid, less so with the thin little notebook models but still a decent target. Though I alway recommend people keep hard drives as they can usually be added into another computer.
