As I develop my Xbow I see the need for an extra non-trigger safety.

I am currently using 4 black Theraband tubes, 2 per side.

Each side is cocked separately to about 40 pounds.

The projectile is held by the trigger mechanism as the rubber is cocked.

After one side is cocked to 40 pounds, I have to reach the second pair of black rubber tubes forward of the sharp arrowhead.

A bit scary thinking about what if the trigger slips......

My additional safety is a stop positioned between the tubes.

Should the projectile be accidentally launched, the stop will stop it and the bands within 6".

I now feel much safer with this easy to make addition.

    Don't leave home without it.
