I am personally really liking and using the hazelnut one on the right its really nice.

Nice collection. I have been always afraid of hazelnuts, I thoight it is soft wood. However, your forks seem to be thick enough. Also your hazelnut might be different kind from our european kind..

From my goofing around I have found that most nut and fruit trees are fairly nice wood to work with and quite tough. Also they come in a nice variety. I have used plum,pear,chin-ease cherry, hazelnut. All have been semi hard woods and easy to work. We have a lot of chestnut trees here to I definitely want to work with that in the future.

I wish i knew what kind of hazelnut tree mine is but it was planted 15 + years ago.

Our other guy, Finnegan, looks a lot like George, but they aren't related as far as I know. We got George as a rescue. He was tied to a fence and left to starve to death because he was injured and couldn't breed, so he was of no "value" to the piece of shit that brought him up from California to breed. He was rescued and needed a shit load of surgery. His story even made the TC years ago. He's just the perfect dog. Great for changing peoples minds about pit bulls.

Wow that's a tough story to swallow. I cannot stand how many irresponciple morons that own this breed. I am very pleased to hear your guy has a loving warm place to rest his jowal. I still get choked up hearing these stories after owning a pitbull for several years you really get to know there loving loyal beasts.

I always love saying ya I own a pitbull. Then to get the response "ohh is he aggressive." That always leads to me whipping the old camera out to show my guy sleeping with the 3 cats that live with him. It's all owner based and the stero types are just ruthless.

Totally agree! Any dog can be made to be vicious. One of our Chihuahuas is very unfriendly to people, but especially small kids. He was removed from a home that had a bunch of small kids that treated him rough, so you can blame him. He's WAY better now with people in general as long as he can approach them on his own terms. Kids are still an issue but we're in the woods with none around so it's not a problem. Used to live by the Parliament Buildings and ran into politicians regularly and they were always so surprised that George was so friendly. Some not even realizing they were cuddling with a Pit Bull until I told them. It was a great opportunity to convince them that anti breed specific legislation was stupid and pointless. George and Finnegan wouldn't hurt a fly. George has been snarled and snapped at by all manner of unfriendly dog. He just turns and looks disappointed because they don't want to play. He'll even try a second time and get the same response and then just give up. It's quite funny to see. Wish I could get it on tape.
