I don't have a working sling shot yet, but I think it's important to have some tools to test efficiency of my designs

I came to find this video on youtube : [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2kRaViHyKk[/ame]

It seems great! Do anyone of you use such tools ( on android smartphone please :p )

To test it on your phones, here's the adress of the app

Do you have other app which are working?

    Thank you for your informations!

I just downloaded the lite version and punched in some rough numbers to try it out. It seems to work quite well. I'm very excited about this! I'm going to do some more testing with everything measured out more exactly, but I think I'll be buying the full version very soon. :) Let's get some more people testing this out!

I downloaded Chrono Connect lite version and used it on my most recent slingshot (see the homemade section). It has proved to be very accurate.

    Great!

Can anyone equipped with a genuine crony test this and validate the accuracy of this little app?

    Thank you very much!

I don't have a genuine chrono but I did reverse engineer the mathematics and it worked perfectly with the figure it was giving out.

Looks great, but you really have to take care of your measurements.

Does annyone know how to calculate ballistic coefficient?

Hmm something must be wrong....... Distances set accurately, but gives me about 110 m/s with 10mm Steel bb and single TBG 28 cm cut lenght at fork 20mm at pouch 10mm

I can not believe it is over 100 m/s

Hey, i would like to know how to calculate the ballistic coefficient... ?
Anybody can help? Or does anybody have a table with the numbers for different sizes of steelballs?

    Thx for the help.
    Keep it up

    Formula is B=m/(c*A)

    m= mass; c= CW (approx 0.45 for speres); A= cross-sectional area,

for 9.525 mm it is 0,110
