For you who are like me new to the slingshot world I found the perfect practice ammo.
Whoppers and gob stoppers I picked up a few boxes ate them and shot a lot of them they did good the gob stoppers were the best. Also the local dollar store carries marbles for a dollar for like 50 of them. I hope it will help somebody I know when I tried the gob stopper I was happy at 2 boxes for a buck you can get al your practice in.

Yep, those work well, so do gumballs (also cheap) and I do like the marbles from the Dollar store and from Michael's too. Once I get my catch box built (almost done), I'll do more shooting with steel so I can reclaim more of it. I lose too many digging in to the mud at this point.

Just don't tell the kid (if you have any) that you have a stash of candy for ammo :D It will go faster that you can shoot it.

Junkyards have big ball bearings from trucks sometimes. I saw a mother load once at a bulldozer mechanic's shop, but they were 2-1/2" in diameter. Have to use like 5 full bands on each side.

That's a good idea ball bearings I'll go find some at a junk yard out here that's huge.

And no acorns here :( but we do have burr berries they're spiky giant like stickers I don't know they're real names but as kids we called them burr berries lol

Wadded up balls of aluminum foil. Hella cheap and usually safe indoors.

I seen some practice golf balls the other night while I was browsing the store. They are made of yellow foam, but look like they could be good to use. I know they are bigger than marbles, but easy to see in the yard and probably would not do much damage if you did have a missed shot. Might have to have a special golf ball shooter, but this forum is about slingshots. Just another reason to make another shooter:D
