As I want to go full butterfly (or at least 3/4) I changed the pouch grip with the hand facing outside like archery ... it was a big surprise to me to find out that was more comfortable and very easy to get used after a few shoots ...
you can se it HERE
that's what I like about ss's, that you never stop learning and improving ...

yeah ... never power is too much lol ...
the remaining top 3 shoots after

@Saderath you gave me the idea HERE I find this pouch grip better for long draws, actually I am pulling 115-120 cms ... this bands are 30 cm, next set will be 32 or 34 cm ...

Nice shooting!
Shooting with the thumb down was really hard for me at first, lots of fork hits, cut my thumb from rough ammo and took me close to forever to actually start hitting stuff.. but now I can't imagine shooting thumb up style.
You should try full buterfly and fistgrip, I'm just doing that now. That's power!

Hi CEZ, that's the idea full butterfly but slowly, I don't want to ruin my face, just started this morning and now at evening the accuracy is indeed good and much power added !!! I think I will get used with this style in a few days more ... anyway I will not try the fistgrip until I feel more confident ...

Hello Arturo,
Very nice shooting. It looks easy when i see you shooting but i almost killed myself( full butterfly). Now i shoot half sometimes but i got to try like you do, with the thumb down. I got to make a slingshot for that purpose, wear a boxing glove, a helmet and do it in the middle of nowhere.
Keep killing those nasty cans mate.
@ Saderath: I just saw the video in Arturo' s post... Fantastic shootin' man Four of the five shots in that small circle at 10m... WOW!!

Very nice shooting.
I´m with you, to start slowly.
If you are starting with full butterfly and the ball touches your ear, your next tries will go one slowly automatically.
I´m still at 3/4 butterfly and i think the other "Butterflier´s" didn`t start with full butterfly too.

I agree that full butterfly is the way to go! I find it a bit harder to hit the right spot as you got no anchorpoint, but on the never-ending hunt for power... accuracy can be fixed later

I started with full butterfly, hit my hand really bad and reduced to shooting pfs from the corner of my mouth for some time:D
It was really beneficial though, because I learned to shoot the pfs with no anchor point and to turn and tweak the pouch so the ball flies above the forks every time. These techniques came in very useful and now I can shoot butterfly style much better. I don't really see the chance of hitting myself in the face though, maybe I don't pull it all the way?

I tryed it today 3/4 butterfly thumb down with "thera-tab" + Mega Rubber tubes. Ho man, that power! My only problem is that i have put that setup on a small slingshot so i can forget the accuracy .
I will try it with a "normal" setup cauz i really like that SMACK!!! on the cans.
HERE a photo.

@ tokSick
Nice band/tube setup. I´ve a question about this.
The tube´s are giving the first power and than the band´s. Because the tube´s are less stretchable then the bands. Is this right?
Arturo, i don´t want to highjack this topic.
Maybe i should ask in a new topic.

@tokSick, what triggered me to go butterfly aside of a lot of info and videos from Tobias and others was that I realized this was the only way to achieve more power (speed), the different setups I've experimented prior gave me only marginal benefits (I've did Audacity crony of all my videos) ... so as Saderath said that's the way to go ... speaking about accuracy with a little more 24 hours and now stretching about 130cm is that I am in 80% so I believe that soon I will be as before ...

Since we are sharing butterfly experiences, when i had just started to get into butterfly shooting my glasses got pinched by the pouch and they became a projectile haha. Luckily they didn't break only a small scratch barely visible.
Now i only shoot butterfly style! my favorite at the moment is with the myrtle deluxe the fork gap is 28mm i just love the accuracy and the stretch i get out of the bands because of the narrow forks.

Regarding accuracy here I show that my "elevation" is good, most impacts are on a horizontal plane (red line) only 2 low ... what I need to improve is the "vertical" plane which exhibits the spread

@Saderath I should not mention this (and I don't recommend it), BUT time ago it happened to me the same, glasses pinched and exploded, luckily without damaging my eye ... that's why from that incident I don't use the glasses anymore ...

Guys, thanks for this discussion. I would like to start butterflying as well, but I'm still locked inside and I'm quite scared to shoot in the office with unknown technique So I have to wait still.. Anyway, the days get longer and longer so my time will come!

What I expect from butterfly release is better accuracy if I find my anchor point in the void. It's simple math & geometry.. the only difficult thing is that it needs a lot of practise.

Hi Slingpit,
The bands are two folded pieces, it is like four bands each side. They give the first power and then comes the tubes, but it makes not much difference. I did it so just because i was too lazy to cut some other bands .
