Have any of you guys made a child a catapult? If so can you recommend a design and band type as I am soon to be making a few for some friends children. <br><br>I am thinking they don't want to be too powerful as I can see a few red faces and broken windows occurring if I'm not careful. Also I'm worried about them getting hand slap so would through the forks be better or maybe tubes? <br><br>I am thinking perhaps making some boxes with either little knock down targets or some spinners inside and using some very small steel ammunition. <br><br>What do you guys think?

I think a small hammergrip-style slingshot with a high fork would be the best. Large rubber bands (office-type) as bandset. Not powerful, but you can shoot with it.

i made one for my son, it is like horstel say it above, i use TB Gold (no Butterfly) only 1cm per side not tapered 14cm long for 8mm ammo.<br><br>it work well. i don´t let him shot alone with this Slingshot. it´s always on a place were he can´t get it.
