Hey guys, i would like to hear your opinion about using carnauba wax as a slingshot finish.I will mostly use olive wood for my slingshots and i really don't want to ruin the feel of holding them with a plastic-like finish.

Carnauba wax would work well as a finish. It's the most durable wax finish, as far as those go. Just melt it, and let it cool enough to not burn you, and rub it in.

Another option for a warm feeling wood finish would be an oil like tung oil, linseed oil, or even salad bowl finish.

I've never personally used pure carnauba wax, however I've used a paste wax finish which is basically carnauba wax and oil combined.

That's a good idea. The oil will bring out the grain, and the wax will protect the surface and buff up very nicely.
