The problem with carbon fiber is that the weaves only hold together well when something prevents them from separating. In this case, the adhering to another object probably accomplishes this goal. Once adhered, it probably is no longer very flexible. I guess you could do two layers of the stuff (glue side to glue side) but it might not bend around and secure the ammo.

I tried this concept once for firing snowballs, but the "threads" losen up and get's lose resulting in a broken pouch after a few shots. But there maybe be a way to fix this.

Good luck trying to sew carbon fiber...
