Well hello everyone. I have been watching the slingshot channel on youtube for quite some time now. I went and ordered theraband black tubing . I have made 5 different slings and none will shoot even close to straight. With blistered fingers and frustration I come here for help. Help?

I am by no means a expert but I would start simple. Like is your forks straight, the same length. Are your bands the same length and are they tied to your SS evenly. If your SS isn't the issue maby try a different shooting style to suit your needs better.

I am sure one of our experts will chime in and help further. Hope this helps and good luck figuring the issue out.

    welcome to the forum finding0!

it's nearly impossible to answer your question without knowing how you're holding the slingshots, how they look like, how you aim, ... and so on. but as bc-slinger said, be sure the pouch is symmetrical and the tubes are the same length each side.

unfortunately in the first 7 days after joining this forum, you'll not be able to post pics or links. so meanwhile i recommend to watch a few videos on youtube about aiming and shooting with slingshots. such like this for instance:

accurate shooting with slingshots needs a lot of practice. that's something that nobody can do for you. so don't give up and have fun!

Thera Tube Black is strong rubber, not the right choice if you are a beginner, and even experts only use it for very heavy ammo.

Why not using lighter bands first?

Gotta agree. That stuff is too tuff for the casual shooter.
