I don't have a crony nor I claim to be exact, it's a audio method I use and validated with the 2 paper method, it gives the "average speed to target", crony near the shooter gives "instant maximum speed". The setup used is 25mm x 20mm taper 30cm net length with a 130cm draw for a 10mm steel ball bearing (4 gram) standing at 11 meters from target. The video is the source of the audio

    calculus:
distance of slap point to mic 90 cm
distance target to mic 11 meters
    net sound dalay (11-0.9)/330=30.6 miliseconds
    delay from tape (time2 - time1)=(0.615468-0.469299)=146.169 milliseconds
so ammo flight net delay=146.169-30.6=115.5629 milliseconds
and net flight distance (arm extended + band length) to target=11-0.8=10.2 meters
    AVERAGE SPEED = 10.2/0.1155629=88.26 m/s or 289.57 FPS
masured same method against TBG 22mm x 18mm taper performs same or better
    Cheers
    Arturo

@John In my opinion Chrono Connect is not as accurate as a quality audio check. I use it sometimes but weather and range conditions, echo etc makes it not so accurate. I'm sure Arturo knows that app, but without a Chrony I also prefer sound check if reliable data needed.

@Arturo Thank you for this test. Good know the average speed is so high with this set. Thanks for the detailed info about bands too!

Just a suggestion or question: can you repeat this test after few hundred shots? It would be nice to know how this band behaves after wearing.

    ThumbsUP :)

@JohnKrakatoa, I've done Chrono Connect with my son Mobile, and my opinion is not as accurate and sometimes unreliable results ...
@Tremoside, in fact this test was done is with 200+ shoots bands wear, I will repeat it tomorrow after additional 100+ shoots ...
    Cheers

same frame/setup today results 100+ shoot after stays very consistent the same:
    89.54 m/s 293.77 FPS @ 13°C
    90.28 m/s 293.20 FPS @ 13°C
this is another frame with 100+ shoots same rubber cut but different release (thumb up 10cm more draw=140cm)
    93.94 m/s 308.21 FPS
so pretty decent results giving this rubber lasts 1.5 times TBG at same performance (there is the magic lol!)
PS: this is a new TBG "equivalent cut" 95.84 m/s 314.43 FPS, (speed degrades faster than GR Latex with wearing)
    Cheers

The only rubber that outperforms both (TBG and BV) in speed and durability is the old Cando latex composite that is not sell here any more (second shoot) and the last sample from Cando tested is garbage, useless for ss's ...

    BV 88 m/s as expected and Cando 100 m/s 13% more
    Cheers
