Made a brass metal-pecan wood laminate. Glued with epoxy. Sanded and oiled. ImageUploadedBySlingshot Forum1388900322.712874.jpg ImageUploadedBySlingshot Forum1388900345.050580.jpg ImageUploadedBySlingshot Forum1388900361.729395.jpg ImageUploadedBySlingshot Forum1388900447.184797.jpg

Nice work! Where did you find such a piece of brass?

Haha, it was actually from a door kick plate that my neighbor gave me. Surprisingly, the pecan was from A tree she cut down last year. It was a really old tree, so you can see that the growth rings are really far apart.

Nice work on that chalice. The brass is a nice compliment to that wood. I like that grain on the pecan. Great job.

I was expecting the brass to be a core, looks cool exposed. Might have to have a look at door plates next time Im at the DIY shop :)
