Another John Krakatoa wasp design with no stinger modified a little. I started cutting out the oak and didn't know what else I would attach to it. When I was visiting jasonmusic1 at the shop I saw a piece of brass sitting on the scrap shelf. I decided to use that as an accent piece. It needed a palm swell so I dug around and found a piece of some kind of wood from Germany that achso sent me in a Christmas trade a few years ago. It's either plum or Apple wood. If anyone knows can you let me know. Not sure what finish to use.

Excellent work. Love the ergo handle. Glad everyone is starting to understand how good a handle like that feels in the hand.

Thanks. I try to make all mine ergo. All my first ones have finger grooves. I have one that is solid aluminum that feels like it is melted to my hand. It's still my favorite after 5 years
of SS making

Beautiful shape. The brass is definitely a suberb highlight.

thanks! It caught my eye at the shop and had to use it

Looks awesome the brass is a nice touch

thanks. I don't know how to seal it so it's going to oxidize unless I scotch bright it all the time

Very well done! The grip is a nice touch and looks outstanding.

thanks!

I was going to suggest as a finish that you send it to me!
You beat me to it with the BLO! Looks cool!
Lol! Thanks!

Very nice! When I saw the 2nd pic, I first thought the complete back is made of brass and wanted to call you crazy to cut out a sling with those curves from a massive block of brass! Ha!

You can cut alu or brass with a jigsaw as easily as wood. Just go slow and steady and use a drill to put holes into narrowspots to make cutting easier. You can even drill holes along the complete silhouette of the frame and just cut the thin walls between them
