Because of where I am, I am using what I think is latex rubber.
It is just rubber band which I buy from the market.
I right now am doubling it.

But the thinner the band, and the narrow the band, the quicker it should be ?

Would it be possible to cut the band into very narrow strips.
Lets say 2-3 mm wide. Then braid them together ?

Has anyone tried this ?

I tried this with rubber bands.... for some reason I think the friction causes more resistance than with flats...

I like the multi-strips idea.... but on the other hand it would be hard to keep it balanced... and a lot of extra work and effort for an experiment... My not having a chrony enables me to continue putting off such interesting experiments

I think that braiding is not good, frictional resistance is increased. Better when the tape loose.
I hope I wrote it well, I do not know English very well.

That makes sense, I never thought about the friction

I think if you just chain it that it would be easier. From fork to pouch, 12-8-6-4, (change #'s to suit you.)would be like a tapered band. If this an old idea? Sorry, I'm new here.

Failed perception is when you have a gun, I have a slingshot and you think you are the only one that is armed.
