hi guys, it's been a while since i posted one of my slingshots, in the last month i was quite busy with school. but i'm actually on holiday and in the next weeks i'm gonna make a lot of slignshots :D
i decided to start with a rambone, a friend of mine gave me a lot of wood and i wanted to make a slingshot with it; this rambone is made out of wengé (dark one), mahogany multiplex (for the core) and a type of oak (light one).
there are few imperfections but i think that this one came out pretty well.

Very cool, the end looks very pointy
Make sure the wengé is properly treated! My mom, who works in commercial real estate, was just telling me about a restaurant she had as a client who imported wengé for all their tabletops chairs, cabinetry, etc. Long story short it was improperly treated and the whole place was overrun with mold.
I cried a little when I heard that story (exotic lumber like that is difficult to come by and way to expensive for my wallet) so much great wood wasted....

Great work artons! You mention imperfections, but other than one little chink out of the plex, I don't see anything else. It's a beautiful Rambone to be sure. Nicely done.

Those are some of my favorite woods and you made a very nice composition from it. This was a lot of work and the result it very nice.

Big credits to you, that you don’t hide your imperfections on your photos. Actually there is nothing you should worry about.

imperfections are part of the slingshot itself, i don't like them but i don't see the reason to hide them, they are the proof that I can still improve my skills :)
also thanks for your nice words
