Hi all , just arrived this morning , a dankung couger , and i think the bands (twin thb gold came fitted ) may be too long. My draw length is 79 cm aprox to my cheek , the bands are 25 cm fork to pouch, I dont seem to be getting much power at all until i draw full to 140 cm , i am quite powerfull strength wise so it isnt a issue , but only short in stature , any advice would be most welcome , do you think bands are too long ???

    cheers tony

I am not good at this stuff I'm only good at making the body's of the slingshots so it's pointless for me to be saying this but I'm not good with bands :( soz.

Maybe they need some adjustment... use the tbg calculator for reference!
or you can try developing the butterfly style shooting.
Are they theraband gold? Do you have a picture?

I always cut my bands to 20cm total length, for traditional draw.

Seems long for traditional shooting indeed...try this:

it seems to be adjusted for butterfly shooting! If you are new to the sport.... you should shorten it first. I'd say......15cm.....13 if you want more power, but it makes the bands die faster.

I cut my Kettler bands to 24 cm. Two bands per side for a draw to my ear, one band per side for full butterfly.
24 cm for TBG. Two bands for a draw to the cheek and one band for half butterfly.
Draw lenght to the cheek:70 cm
    To the ear: 84 cm
    Half butterfly: 104 cm
    Full butterfly: 147 cm
