Hi everyone,
Here is a small ergo shaped beech natural I made with my take on figure 8 binding method for tubes to forks.
This method allows for through the forks shooting and is experimental at the moment but seems to be holding well.

To do this you push the tubing through a hole in the fork leg from the opposite side to the shooter.
Then start to bind the end of the tube against the fork leg in a figure 8 pattern using a fairly long piece of theraband.
Once you've made 3 or 4 full 8 patterns across the tube end fold the tube back towards the shooter side of the fork and carry on binding for 2 8 patterns then tie off.

Hope the photos and diagram show the method better than I've described it :)
[IMG][IMG][IMG]

nice slingshot ... I have no experience with tubes, but as it is rubber against rubber with enough "8" I believe it will be secure ... a fork tie failure is really dangerous ...

Here's a close up view Lars. First photo is the 1st stage of the binding and the second photo is the finish where the tube is pulled back through the slot then overlocked with binding. Seems quite secure with single 1745 tubes but I'm not sure if the method would work for stronger tubes.

[IMG][IMG]
