I found a local store to buy 18mm birch plywood (made in Russia),
the store is about 28KMs away from my home.

So this weekend I made a BB slingshot for my boy,
    here it is.
The width of fork is about 5.7cm, from fork top to handle bottom is 12.5cm
With "easy" thera-band and homemade leather pouch.
Ammo is normal plastic BB ball.
I mean "easy" because I cut the thera-band much longer with narrow width,
so my boy can enjoy shot it in home without break any thing. :p

I'm sure he will love it. HaHa.

And how much fun you had shooting it?

Nice, simple and clean job! Looks like a piece that can grow with him too, seeing that the frame will handle quite a bit heavier bands.

It took JoeChen to make something really cool out of Russian wood.

I like it. Simple. Nice basic shape. As others have said, it can grow with him. I love BB shooters myself. A lot of fun when you can't shoot bigger ammo and a great way for kids to learn.

    Hey guys,
    Thanks for the great input.
For me, the most joyful thing is watching my boy shot this one with smile.
And I had a great time for making it too.

This early morning before my boy left for school,
I heard "shot" once or twice from his room. :D

A quick note, I could not help myself so I made another BB slingshot for me to play in my office.
I'm thinking to make some as X'mas gifts for my local friends.

    Here it is.

    Nice work Joe!
A lucky boy indeed, to have such a cool dad.

These little sweeties in your pics are leading me toward the indoor slingshot path.(The sub zero days last week might be part of this also...)

By the way, welcome to the forum--its good to have you here.

    Thanks Mike. :)

The second BB slingshot was taken away from me by a good friend.
I'm planning to build a Rambone with plywood this coming weekend.

Instead of making a Rambone, I made these BB slingshot for friends as X'mas gifts.
    Hope they enjoy the shot.
It's rainy and cold outside, BB slingshot is a not bad indoor toy to play . :)
