hi guys, it's been a while since my last slingshot, the school has started and i already busy.
but i found a big walnut fork and i thought to turn it into a ram-bone.
the design is pretty much the same but surely not at the level of the original, i was really really unlucky with the wood, there are 2 small cracks
but i filled them with epoxy and they're supersure now.
this time is also tried a new finish on it, it's cyanoacrylate (CA); i'm quite satisfied by the result, it's shiny, strong and a lot faster than varnish.

It seems to be strong and precise, i'm not a great shooter but with this i can hit the target from 20m with ease!
I really have to thank you for the amazing design

Very nice..... Am I wrong or is it the first "generic" rambone we have on the forum?

I think you're right BV, it looks like an hybrid from the manu mortar and the ram bone

Hey!i just pretty much made the exact same thing but with a yew palm swell and from a nice piece of old dry oak! I was honestly really really hoping to be picked for joergs "from a gunstock" slingshot with the osage orange. I fell in love with that thing as soon as I saw it!!! So I had to try and make one after the draw!!!!! I think the shape of yours turned out really nice!!!!! I would love to find a dead walnut fork!!!

Ps. The fork looks huge because the grip is small..... I've got pretty small hands

    Hi Artons,

It's a great work for experimenting with a new shooter design. Good proportions and a tight coating. Am really curious how it shoots to you (but most of us do). It looks nice in this light grain and color. Hope you will collect experiences and create your own small tweaks and more beautiful slingshots based on this gorgeous design.

    Have a nice day mate!

Ps.: Please do not say "bad" 'bout your work. Even if you're not satisfied totally it's unfair for yourself. Effort and time is a value. :) And not just that... work is the treasure map to find the sweet spots :)

    Thank you for sharing this!

Like all the others, I don’t see any bad inside your copy. And I'm sure you do not also. ;)
Nice Wood and nice work. I am sure a very good shooter.

It is a very good design and somehow an evolution of the different designs Jörg has made.
This design is still on my to-do list, but at the moment I like shooting support style hammer grip style.
