I was rather pleased with this one until I'd shot it a few times. With its purple DubDub tubes it can sling B I G lead with serious speed.

Unfortunately i had not given enough thought to where the brace would transfer the considerable force involved. Directly onto the major blood vessels in the inner elbow is NOT the best place !

I shall have to shorten the brace a couple of inches :(

There is an original kind of randomness to your carving that I like. Do you plan a lot or a little? Is it done by transferring a pattern you have drawn or fitting things in by stream of conscious carving? I do some carving too but mostly signs. Your stuff is very nice.

Plan?? Moi?? No...i just make it up as I go along, like doodling, drawing directly onto the wood. I find that very restful. If I'm doing something more representational like a Green Man then a little more planning goes into it but not much. :)

Yes, the purple or 'plum' DubDub. It shoots 1" lead at a good speed. Mind you I am asking myself how often one wants to shoot 1" lead and am wondering about other combinations. Double 50/80s should give a better speed with smaller, more practical, ammo like 16mm lead or lobrounds.

    Very unique looking slingshot!

Glad to see you were able to adjust it to be usable without causing that welt anymore.
