As you know I like both slingshots AND knives.

Combining them is somewhat irresistible to me.

When I found a good deal on this Böker "Reality Based Blade" automatic folder on amazon, and saw that it had an EXCHANGEABLE little glass breaker tip, I simply ordered one.

I really like this thing, it looks mean as heck and the blade is sharp and very pointy. The action is powerful, too.

The glass breaker is indeed removable, it basically is a screw. I designed a small slingshot fork that ideally should be made from aluminum - but for a test, I just used plywood.

As the screw is rather small (4 mm), I needed a more solid anchor point for the fork and found it: The lanyard hole, 5 mm in diameter. The fork I made uses both attachment points for a rock solid assembly.

I use Dankung tubular rubber loops here as they are more compact and look cleaner. They are held in place by 3 mm steel pins through the 8 mm holes in the fork tips.

This is a true PFS that must be shot finger support AND flip style - but it is really compact.

The fork has one more advantage: It doubles up as the best thumb rest I have ever seen. This gives so much more purchase for stabbing! Very important in a world that prepares for the inevitable Zombie apocalypse.

It's a set of Dankung 1842s, from Simple Shot. Helmut sells it in the store, so I got some free samples :)

    Looks cool, shoots good too!

That is a great idea. I got to see if it will work with my switchblade.

That is very cool Joerg. I am going to be very disappointed if a version of that doesn't show up in the store one of these days...hint hint ;)

    Nice one :D

Jörg, you're gonna hit your hand with that little fork!
Whoops, that was the little troll in me, I'm sorry :D
By the way, when will the winner of the "Chronos" and the "sewage-twister-upgrade-idea" winner be drawn?

Don't think it is a product that can/should be sold. This is for experienced shooters only, beginners will injure themselves. Nope, this would be a law suit magnet in no time.

Winner of the twister will hopefully be published this weekend, when I am finished evaluating all the ideas. Winner of the chronos, see the conditions in the related thread.

I could really see something like this being standard-issued to a soldier in a good army as a great multipurpose backup weapon/tool. A compact slingshot with a sharp knife with a saw-edge would certainly make a survivalist happy, too. Plus, the solid black look (black handle, blade, fork, bands, and pouch, maybe even black-painted steel balls?) has Spec-Ops functionality written all over it! Love it!

This is a very clever one. Like the idea and the tactical look very much,
must see if I have the same option on one of my folders.

If you make the tubes a bit longer you can use this as a neck knife…

Just a joke, but why not…!?
