audio crony

    Guys I have measured my shooting yard and have some vids with sound (of course) ... the question is if someone know a linux program to extract from the vid and measure the elapsed time of a shot ?? <br>thanks in advance ...

    I've did the analysis inspecting the video slide by slide but it gives a big error ... minimum 66m/s and maximum 100m/s so the real speed is in between ... <img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/icon_sad.gif" alt="Sad" longdesc="3">

    Hi,<br><br>you can extract the soundfile with <a href="http://soundconverter.org/" class="postlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">soundconverter</a> <br>and measure with audacity.<br><br>on yt is a little vid "DIY slingshot audacity chrony" for description

    wow !!! 3.3572-3.2118=0.1454 the delta time from target to mic 8/330=0.0242424 so net time = 0.1212 seconds so<br><br>speed=8/0.1212=66.006 m/s !!! my band simulator gives me 63.28 m/s <img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/icon_cheers.png" alt="cheers" longdesc="28"> for this case ...<br><br>IT IS ALMOST VALIDATED !!!<br><br>thanks again schwartzbunt !!!

    Well, to do a more accurate speed measure I'll do the 2 paper setup with 3 shoots ... nice
