A mixture of woods: oak, plywood and pine. The arm rest gives great support. I think I shall relocate the arrow rest a few inches further back to get a better draw on normal length arrows.

Thank you :) The shaving brushes work amazingly well as arrow rests. I've had chance now to compare them with a commercial whisker biscuit...and I think I'll stick with the brushes. They are a LOT cheaper and seem to work just as well.

Crazy detail! What a beautiful shooter! Even the general shape reminds me of ancient Asian weapons. The carving work is just out of this world....
    Great work!!

As soon as I see the picture I know the bow is by you. You have such a great original style.

    The little dragons are delightful.

    Looks like fun to shoot.

Thanks amigo :). The little dragons I carved originally for the interior of my last LandRover camper. The inside was covered in carvings (mainly to hide the deficiencies in my carpentry ;) )

thanks guys. The shaving brush idea works very well, especially with some of my crude, homemade bamboo arrows. The bristles seem to even out all the irregularities.

On my latest one...Gothick Horror II ...I've taken it a little step further. I used the hog bristles from the brush but put softer bristles (from a blusher brush) in the centre like a sandwich. This seems to work even better
