I love hunting and shooting with with firearms. I know there are many countries out there that don't allow the average citizen to possess a firearm. Which to me is sad.

So post what kinds of guns you have!

I have a remington 870 I use for hunting grouse, pheasant and duck.

A savage 111 in .270 I use for deer and sometimes elk.

A ruger 10/22 I use for small game and just for fun plinking.

I have more, but those are the 3 I use the most.

incredibly hard to get over here in the UK though lets be honest we don't really have that much in the way of wild game here anymore- I've never taken anything bigger than a rabbit or waterfowl and *cough cough* maybe a few pheasants that dived into the path of a pellet from my air rifle- always tasty lol

the hunting I do gets done with a Gamo IGT Shadow!

Air rifles are great and you can really kill quite an array of game animals with them. There are "big bore" air rifles that can produce massive energy. There is a small following of people who use them for big game hunting.

I think hunting is looked at as something "bad" to many people. But what I think is worse is the way that some animals are factory farmed. I try to avoid eating animals that come from such situations. That's why I hunt. It's what humans have done for a long long time.

In the UK, do you need to be a land owner to have a firearm?

depends a lot on the type of airgun you have, there's 'ye olde school springers', the the IGT, or Gas Rams and the PCP ones- if you want a giggle look on youtube for the 'dragon slayer' air rifle, it's a .50 cal monster of a thing it's all regulated over here in the UK so you can only realistically own fairly low powered ones

Yes we do! I think there have been 3 people killed by grizzly bears this year in the lower 48 united states. Those attacks were farther up north so I typically don't hang around in grizzly country much. Even mountian lions have killed people, usually unsuspecting joggers.

When everyone in a community owns guns, people seem a lot more chill about it. But that's just my perspective on things.

maybe that's the reason why guns have been phased out over here, we dont have things like that to need them for and up until pretty recently we had some pretty decent domestic terrorism going on, so i suppose it's a product of the country itself

50 cal black powder Hawkins carbine. I named her "Ugly Stick". Made meat with her twice and did a few rifle frolics in my day.
