I have seen a new 12 or so users just today, not that it isn't awesome when new people join but it's odd to have so many join (normlly not 12 new people a day) on the day Mr. Sprave begins his contest for his new slingshot lol.

Oh wow, I had just seen 12 the few times i logged in this morning (it's still not even 11 am here), I wonder how many of them are different people? I am guessing it's just a relitive few making lots of accounts to increase their chances of winning.

Yes... people come here in order to win the slingshot. Some will stay. Most won't come back ever. But that is what I did at the SSF, back in the day, and what made it the biggest forum. Now we will soon catch up. The gap is shrinking.

sadly i am thinking the same, and thought i would really enjoy winning, i would never do that, i guess they can't stand it that other people might have a chance at winning .

I do think we have more frequent visitors than the new accounts. I'm still pretty sure someone who is actually a serious member will win it.

It is a great way to get new members and even if they don' t "participate" to the forum, they will certainly come back some times to see what is happening here. Good way to get their interest.
If a " non- serious" member wins that slingshot, he will probably become a serious one( and some others too).

I do like that everyone here is friendly and respectful of others. Couple other forums I'm on (though not often anymore,because....) are gong-shows filled with people just trying to prove theirs is bigger than yours.
But yeah, I'd say if this was Joerg's way of building the sight and have it pay for itself, mission accomplished! Nicely done sir!
