I have a modern/medieval crossbow that was around 40lbs to draw, using layered spring steel I got from a scraper (used for applying filler). I upgraded the crossbow with 2mm spring steel limbs and upgraded to dyneema after watching Jörg's video on it. The poundage now feels like well over 60lbs to draw it by hand and needs to be braced against something solid just to be drawn. I implemented some points for a goats foot lever to make it easier to cock. Has anyone made a goats foot lever and how easy is it to make? Or is there a easier method to draw it?
