Stopped by my local Goodwill Store today and ran across a bunch of these...

Decided to bring this one home with me and see what I could do with. The cost with tax was four dollars and some change, so not too much lost if it doesn't work out.

Chuck

Just dont make the forks to high, otherwise you will have a big leverage on wrist.

    Here is a thought!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ViYMbow6Rf0

I made a Kabuto after watching this video, but I removed the bottom band. It worked nice with the 4 bands, but it was a little difficult to find a good way to grasp the pouch.

Regards,
Brian
Oooh, you've got the sickness if your at the point of cruising Goodwill for SSSO's (Sling Shot Shaped Objects)!
Chopping the whole "racket" part off about 2" above the top end of the handle would give you a sorta modified PFS type SS. What does it look like under the grip tape?
I've been eye-balling the many field hockey sticks that are at all the thrift stores around here. That nice hard wood ( what type of wood? Anyone know?) and that hook could be reshaped a bit and mounted to a grip. Maybe made from the handle of the stick.

I have had quite some field hockey sticks, and they are pretty tough but i dont know what they are made of, but watch out, because the better "plastic" sticks are hollow and layered and sometimes look a lot like tho wooden 'till you get to the core
