Cell cast acrylic frame. Material is cut, routed, heated, formed, fused, sanded, and finally polished back to optical clarity. This one features a 1/16" spacer of Blood Red Transparent Cell Cast acrylic fused between the halves. I have incorporated my no tie band pinch. 25CM TBG 1" straight cut bands and a crimson leather pouch complete the rig. A modern expression of a classic ambidextrous Y fork sling shot.

Absolutely wonderful work. I'm curious to know how the no-tie system holds up.

No tie systems have been doing quite well for a long time, flicks uses a really clean no tie on his slingies, very slick.

The polishing on this ss is superb.

I've shot my other test bed ss about a 100 times and the band shows no wear and no loosening.

I love the positive energy you are sending my way:)

After posting my first tests on this I went searching for pics of flicks ss work after someone mentioned his no tie system. For me using a little nylon spacer is ideal because the tolerances are pretty even from spacer to spacer and of course the drill is pretty exact at making the same diameter hole over and over. I need a system that is relatively easy to make with no hand fitting.
I like the shape too...wait till you see the UV reactive Blue Moon

Not unhappy. I am a realist. I strive toward perfection knowing it will never be reached. The little bubbles are what make this one different than the other that will follow. No real effect on strength or function.
Glad you like it. That encourages me to make more.

I work up from 180 to 600 and then I use a muslin wheel on my buffer and an acrylic specific polishing wax compound. Tedious but there is no other option to restore clarity after machining the surfaces.

    Thank you.

Beautiful slingshot. I don't think I've seen anything quite like this one yet. Obviously a lot of work went in to this one. Very nice.
