Another Blackheart Board Cut

    Here's my latest board cut, I've nearly run out of the cutting board this came from. so there wont be many more.

    like my last one its blackhear sassafrass with a little bit of tasmanian oak on one edge

    I thoroughly tested where it was joined and its solid as a rock.

    for some reason it ended up lop-sided but my template was perfectly symmetrical and I cut to the lines so I have no idea.

    the wood has awesome character, just watching the colours change as I oiled it was something else!

    Cheers Withak, but it wan't me that pulled that out, it did it all by itself all I could do was watch in awe

    I actually got the inspiration for the shape from a bat wing outline like this [​IMG]

    Beautiful grain on that! And its not lop-sided, it's ergonomically asymmetrical ;)

    Funny you should say that Scoobs, it fits in my hand perfectly. It must have been a subconscious thing...... Thats my story and I'm sticking to it!:D
