    Hey everyone,

I just thought i would like to show of this this awesome fork i found!
I normally never cut living trees, but this yew was out of the public eye with a few other yews, and the branch just looked a bit out of place.....(honestly :D) Aaand i just happened to have a saw in my pocket........

....... so i trimmed it. :roll eyes:

Yew is one of my favorite woods to work with and I've always wanted to find a yew fork like this one, and the chances of finding that dead and un-split are.... not very many.
My slingshot building heart just couldn't turn this away...

and i apologized to the tree as well!!! :D

anyway... it has to dry for a few more months... so I've got some time to think up a special plan for it!!

    Cheers
    Jakob

I wish there was yew around where I live but I don't think they'd do to well in the climate...

Seal the ends and let it dry for years, build at least 20 slingshots in this time to make sure you do a great one from that:)

Nice find. I have yet to find any in our area, but it is supposed to grow here. It looks like such a nice wood to work with. Don't you dare mess that one up ;)

Sweet! I recently carved a natural Moorhammer and this fork might be suitable for the same. Such forks are rare! Cherish the moment!
