Aluminium... my first tries working ss without wood...

    Nice work man. I never made something out of alu. I guess it was not an easy work.

    <span class="postbody"><br><br>these only took me a few hours really, havnt really finished them, there could be a lot more done, just gonna let them sit for now while i collect ideas, the small one is more polished, but just with a couple minutes of 100 grit.<br><br>it seems a bit more labor intensive to make these for some reason. <br><br>wish i had an automatic rasp/file :s</span>

    that you can´t breathe should not be due to working with aluminum.<br>i think it´s very easy to handle, even a bit TO soft for me because when you try to polish it it will darken brighter woods and if you carry it around in your pocket it will easily get scratches.<br>maybe you just used the wrong tools. you should have filed it, you can even rasp it. only sandpaper is very tiring i bet.<br><br>i just finished my latest cutouts i did from aluminum...was like a cure to handle aluminum+multiplex after working on brass+amaranth for a few days <img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/icon_smile.gif" alt="Smile" longdesc="2"><br><br>take a look if you like:<br><br><a href="/t1440-finished-the-aluminum-cutouts#13663">http://theslingshotforum.forumotion.com/t1440-finished-the-aluminum-cutouts#13663</a><br><br>i think yours are quite nice already. cool little shooters i bet.
