I'm back with another slingshot! This time I wanted to try making a TAOW Hammer slingshot with some nice laminations. The core is made out of 20mm pine plywood. The scales are made of european beech, oak, bamboo, maple and red sandalwood.

The european beech and bamboo came from IKEA cutting boards. I took the oak from a board I have. The thin maple and red sandalwood was part of Jeb's postcards (thank you, they're awesome!)

I made the slingshot by hand and sanded it up to 1000 grit. Used lindseed oil as a finish. Some paste finshing wax on that would have been nice, but unfortunately I didn't have any.

I put a lot of hours into making this video tutorial, so it would be awesome if you checked it out:

I really like this one. It's a great shooter and the best slingshot I've made so far. Here are some pictures:

Thanks! The video did take quite some time to make. I am still trying to learn the camera and all its features.

I really like the TAOW Hammer design. It's just so elegant! :)

Thank you! And yes, it did take quite some time and work to get it finished, but it would have been made in about half the time if I hadn't made a video :)

Sweet slingshot, Jon! You did a great job on that TAOW hammer. And great tutorial, too. It was a real pleasure to watch.

Also, I'm really glad to see you put that wood to such good use. Makes me happy!

Looking forward to all your future builds!

Thank you Jeb! It was fun making the tutorial... and a pain "wasting" the wood. It hurts to cut such nice looking wood! :)

But I guess it had to be used in some way. Otherwise they would only be stored on a shelf, picked up once in a while and then put back. Now that I finally was going to use some of it, I felt that I had to put extra work into making it look nice.

I am really thankful for you sending these pieces to me for free. You're awesome! :D
