It's now been three weeks that I've been working on my latest Slingshot and I'm full on withdrawal.
Less time, other projects, and I thought I could live without building...:(

I was wrong ... my obsession was stronger...:D

After work - the last two days - very little sleep... I took a yew fork out of my box and built this...

I have also been working on a few new pouches

I'm very tired, but my addiction is satisfied for now. I hope you like my little relapse ?

I am afraid will not last long, next week is more time, and then I will be unreasonable again...:D

BTW, what did you use as a sleeve for the lanyard attachment? Is that just some metal tubing you fit into the drilled-out hole? Did you secure that with epoxy or another adhesive?

Yew has such a lovely grain and you have brought it out perfectly! I really like the pouch too.

Just wondering, do you wear a mask when fine sanding Yew? I have a few Yew forks but have always been worried of the toxicity.

    Hi LW!

    I think we should meet!
Please bring that slingshot, I would really
appreciate a LOT to be allowed to hold it in my hands!
And I might even let it go, some time :)

Awesome sling! I love this "melting" look that the tip of the grip has.
    Yew is fantastic!

Yew has that perfect orange yellow color. I love all sling shots built from it, especially this one.

I know I speak for everyone that any of us can quit making slingshots whenever we want:p

First - thank you Girls and Guys for all your kind words.

There is something magic about this fork.
I have not been able to take one really good photo of the Slingshot body ? The bands, the pouch, the steel-balls everything fine, but the fork is always blurred / hazy in the photos. In the original it looks different from the pictures, structure is much clearer to see ...

Maybe it's because I'm an idiot as far as taking pictures.

As a lanyard attachment I cut a small brass tube and glued to the wood. For this I use epoxy

You're right, I've always worn this when grinding staubmaske-moldex-2365.jpg
    now I bought this moldex_gas_atemschutzmaske_serie.jpg
because I'll be working in the future with homemade micarta.

Yes beautiful but also very toxic, why it is always the dangerous things which attract us ...:D

I am not sure about that…

Thanks again I like to be a member of this forum :)

    A nice one again! :)

The lanyard hole is my favorite detail. Like the angled cut at the bottom with the tubing, turns the form into a sculpture :)

I hope you're satisfied with this work. The photo also looks fine for me it's damn hard to catch an optic phenomenon on a 2D image. Like the back-plate and the reflections on the steel balls also. Seductive... if I can say that for a slingshot :)

No, honestly, if you need something let me know, but i doubt it, you pics do look very good!

Catapult is very nice, Yew looks amazing.
Those pouches remind me a lot of Rayshots Supersure lamintated pouches.
