First, there was the Bubonic plague. Then, there was the Spanish Flu of WWI. Now, there's the Slingshot Building Bug.

It seems to be spreading like an internet-borne virus. Some notable persons that frequent this forum have been pointing out those who, like Typhoid Mary, are catching and subsequently spreading this disease. Be Mahoney seems to be very quick to recognize the symptoms of the disease, as are other specialists such as BV and Flipgun.

Since there is no known cure, quarantine is the only hope to contain this outbreak. Otherwise, a full blown epidemic could ensue that would cause mass-hysteria that would, over time, destroy all of civilization. Well, let's at least hope it will- most 'civilizations' could use some destruction.

Be wary! You could be the next one to be infected!

You forgot to mention the intense urge to find other infected persons and commiserate with one another about their symptoms. Plus there is the side effect of attempting to infect others around you to justify your latest purchase of Theraband.

It is for this reason that quarantine is usually prescribed... and ignored. And the justification of a Theraband purchase is easy to get- just let them smell the stuff.

The only effective but mild remedies I know of are making lots of sawdust regardless of how you choose to apply that ointment. Another therapy is hunting down uniquely and naturally provided specimens to harvest in your nearest wooded area to meditate/medicate with and then upon. New surgical tools really provide enlightened enjoyment of this bewildering disease!

    Lucky me

Having found you lovely guys was not a coincidence!
I love to share this with you.
Concerning my appointment the "bug" is the best
thing that happened to me for a long long time.

    Thank you all.

Have we gone Mad? I'm afraid so. You're all entirely Bonkers.
But I'll tell you a secret, all the best people are!

Nothing like the jitters of waiting for your next order of theraband to bring out the Lewis Carroll inspired quotes.

This infection or 'madness' reminds me of one of my favorite characters from Braveheart. I think there are many similarities to those infected with this illness to this man (adult language warning):

Edit - Be helped me figure out why the video was not embedding in the thread - and now it is. Thanks Be!

I believe the scene where they all ran up to each other was an early gathering of slingshot enthusiasts.

As a person of Irish decent, I have to say I find this quite amusing, and, occasionally close to reality ;)

it´s the "s" at the end of https....

deleting it manually makes it work:

Are you guys saying that I unknowingly stepped into a den of SS wielding zombies? I have been infected and now feel the urge to infect others. I think I have already infected my brother as he was at my place tonight. He said when he gets home he is going to register to the forum! lol..... Another joins the mob :D.

With the amount of zombie slaying weapons being made on this forum never admit to being a zombie!! (Even a slingshot toting one!)

To deal with an enemy, one must become like the enemy. We travel in packs, infecting others too.
