<div>Hey guys, how necessary are the fork grooves for mounting over the top bands? I'm working on my second natural fork, and it seems like the bands will stay put just fine without the grooves. I've seen them done both ways. I'm new to this. Thoughts?</div><div class="clear"></div><div class="signature_div">

To me it works fine without grooves. I always use grooves for crossbows, tough.

<div>Thanks guys. I can easily add them, but I just like the way it looks without the grooves. If i can get away with it, I think I'll leave them out.</div><div class="clear"></div><div class="signature_div">

I put grooves on my board cuts but not on naturals because it looks much nicer without. An exception would be a PFS because there is less room to attach longer strips.

I only have grooves on my pfs, it is only needed with tiny fork tips and heavy angles
