A lot of the commercial slingshots have hollow handles for ammo. as long as the handle is made from something with enough strength to handle the internal cavity, it should be OK.

Somewhere I saw a video where there was a mag in a fork handle.

It worked on the same principal as a Zippo lighter flint dispenser.

If you skip to 1:25 in this video, you can see how it operates.

The only thing I would change about this setup, is a ball bearing on top of the spring to prevent wear.

Also not sure I like the eye-bolts for band attachment as much as I like the wrap and tuck method.

Other than that, this is some cool engineering and machine work.

Thats my design. It has no full wheel. It will be more like a kidney, what gives me a little exta space inside . The ¨Spike¨ on the left could be a little whistle, but i´m not sure if I add it or not.

I thought abaout it and found 2 problems. So I modified it once more. Added a Grip for the finger to open the dispenser, and added 2 small magnets, pushing against each other to close it automaticly.

    Excellent!

I tried something like that myself. Works well for smaller ammo (.50 cal and below) that is smooth-surfaced. Marbles, steel, those are great.

It runs into problems with large caliber lead. Lead is heavier and far 'stickier', so the lever gizmos tend to get stuck when dispensing. Because it not only has to move the piece of ammo it touches directly, but also all the ammo on top of that. Lead doesn't want to move. lol
