That is a very good looking knife. Nice variation of a tanto style blade you came up with. It's hard to beat the old style files for a blade steel. I believe some of the newer ones are only tempered on the teeth though. The same thing goes for some types of saw blades. I've always wanted to get more into knife making, but never had the equipment really. Good job.

Not that it makes a difference to me, but I can see some people suggesting that you move this to the "off topic" section. Maybe not though.

i do not really have a clue about knifemaking...but i think you use a file because it is hardened steel? so using an angle grinder...i mean...doens´t it heat up the file too much?

and how do you sand or file...well...a file? do you own a hardmetalfile?

no matter what, the result is awesome! the metal looks like its chrome...really really nice job!

yup , a regular wood/metal working file , an angle grinder will remove the teeth quite easily but you can heat it up to red hot first and let it cool slowly to 'anneal' the metal and make it easier to work, after that is done it will shape and sand quite easily then when you've got the shape and finish all done - you re-temper it and harden it and polish it to a fine shine
