At the moment I have 300 poker chips lying around. One chip weighs about 10 gram.
I'm not a big fan of poker, so they never got used. They are still in the original sealing.
So my challenge is: Is it possible to shoot poker chips with a slingshot?
Can you build a device, which is optimized for chip shooting?

Joerg if you are interested I could send them to you.
In my opinion this could be a interesting project.

Here is a picture of them:

So what do you think?

man a plan is already forming in my head, pump action, easy but effective trigger, would be awesome
they are great targets too by the way

The target for this ammunition should of course be playing cards! To see if it could cut one in half, like Bill Hays do.

I think these would be best served as targets, but it's up to you of course.

I don´t think, that the chips will fly straight.
They will make a curve.

If you build something like the pencillauncer and make a magazine for an entire stack it would be fun to shoot, but they won´t hit anything.

The least you have to do to make them a bit accurate is a device that makes them spin. A small version of Jörgs sawbladeshooter might work for that Ammunition.

I would think a small rubber patch on one side will give them spin.

  9. I concur, a mini version of Joerg's saw blade launcher would work wonderfully for these little guys.

Used to have, WAY back when I was a kid, a gun that shot disk-like things. They looked like mini versions of the 45 record adapters....... a small version of those big, flat disk things that had little lines on them. for those that need to, ask your parents......
