I know the title says 'challenge' but I suppose it's more of an idea, really. I was skimming YouTube looking for something interesting and I found this: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CuRBpApmfx0[/ame] it's a bullpup vertical crossbow. This concept is entirely new to me and I thought, 'what if this could be made from thera band and plywood? maybe with a draw extension too?' The possibilities are unending and I thought I'd post up here straight away!

So! I'll try and look into this a bit more but to Jörg, I thought it'd be a good idea to key you in on this and maybe y'know drop you an idea. I think this has a lot of potential!

It looks pretty cool but Jorg's bull pup crossbow already outperforms that and doesn't take up near as much real estate to carry. Vertical or horizontal it still takes basically the same amount of space on your back. Main reason I like Jorg's bullpup xbow is it's a huge powerhouse in a compact design so makes it easier to carry more stuff on your back when hiking or hunting depending on your preferred use.

This is basically just a bow mounted on a stick. I have done that a long time ago.

Disadvantage: Shoots full size arrows only, and is very bulky.
