I was looking at an old board of wick I couldn't identify. Took it to the miter saw, and to My pleasure, it was cherry! two inches thick too! So I made this: ImageUploadedBySlingshot Forum1388715154.638899.jpg ImageUploadedBySlingshot Forum1388715173.573134.jpg ImageUploadedBySlingshot Forum1388715199.254799.jpg it's not perfectly symmetrical at all, but it fits my hand well.

Yeah, it is. Surprisingly, my b&d jigsaw cut through it like butter. :)

No two ways about it -- that’s definitely a thick one!

That is an excellent find! Nice work too, before I got my bandsaw I used a jigsaw and I had a hard time. Don't worry about it not being symmetrical either, symmetry is boring.

Indeed, the growth rings on the board where like 3/4" apart from each other. Apparently, that was a VERY old tree.

Lol, I actually found a 6" jigsaw blade with like 10 teeth on it; you could cut down a flippin tree with it! I do have a band saw though, it's just from the 60's, so it doesn't work very well. :(
