I go collecting every winter , finding a dozen forks or so out in the parks nearby. I only spent about an hour putting this one together.
This is the first new slingshot I have completed this year, glad I spent an hour or so in the shed on this rainy day.

Hi Guys, there are three more attempts from the past few days to build a natural slingshot that fit's to me.
The wooden "V" is a gripless fork for shooting only in thumb & finger support style, I gave her strong bands for a strong guy.
The second named Eagle, because the heck it is - isn't it...
Found this beautifully crafted slinger in Chatuchak or Jatujak Weekend Market in Bangkok on 4th Oct., 2014.
Unknown wood specie, but is heavy and looks like its shaped from a natural fork. A steal at US$2.50!

..while joking around with some knive-building-tests over the last days and trying to colorize blades in different ways, i put some natural wood into vinegar for fun, and it came out very nice.. a blue-grey tint which goes trough to the core and brings out the grain..
left it in...
