Here I am again. :D This shooter is made from a white oak fork. I gave it an end cap of denim and some other cotton material micarta. Finished her up with a coat of blo and 20 coats of CA. Thanks for looking!

Outstanding! Great fork, and really nice Micarta!
With 20 layers on every frame you must go through quite a bit of CA-glue ;)

I really hate to show this kind of slingshot forks , its sooo nothing, its so easy , no time works, i would not consider to make a single photo and show for other people , specially on a forum where people come to value innovative and interesting designs .. its so boring ..

I find great pleasure in some of the more simple things in life; the sunshine in the morning, a nice leaf on the ground, a fluffy dog, a cup of tea. None of those I've never seen before yet everytime they delight me. I think it keeps me grounded and respectful for what there is to have in life. Such a slingshot can fit in perfectly and even so decievingly easy looking I can see, almost feel, a careful craftsmanship that brings this together. In no way boring to me. :)

You're certainly entitled to your opinions. You need to understand though that for some people, like me, it's not all about the design of the fork, and nature does a damn good job designing them, but it's also about the material itself. There is never a time that I start working on a fork, when I am not excited to find out what is hiding beneath the bark. This particular fork may not hold the amazing spalting of some, nor does it have a crazy carved out ergonomic grip, but it has what it was intended to have and for me, that was enough. I threw on the butt cap more out of curiosity of how it would look than a feel that it was needing it to impress anyone. As I say, you can feel how you feel about it. :)

I’m honestly surprised everybody here is so dedicated to bending over backwards to be ultra-PC, fawningly respectful and unduly polite to such a nasty, disrespectful and derogatory troll. That’s a trap I won’t fall into. If you don’t appreciate pictures of all kinds home-made slingshot frames, then you should join a crocheting or knitting forum and look at pictures of needlework projects. Take your attitude with you when you go and don’t let the door hit you on your ass when you leave.

Note to Drew: Another great job. Kudos.
