living in the netherlands were you can buy and use mushrooms and canabis go to the whores and say what you want....

i can have a 350 pound crossbow now problem but a rubberband on a forked stick wil land you in jail or a very big fine
thats why i normally dont have the bands on the handle till im across the border

    its sad but tru :(

    Pheasant hunting

you can go to the "whores" anywhere..

With slingshots being banned I agree, because:
in NL there live tolerant, frank and PRAGMATIC people,
with good engineers (preventing the land from drowning..)
    and LOGIC THINKING..

And to me it is clear, that a thirteen year old boy will
NOT do helpful things with a slingshot!

Example: slingshot600, lives in the netherlands..

" i really need someting like a little corssbow that i can
hide under my coat, and quickly fire at a pheasant when
i see one walking through the mais field
has anybody got a disign or an idea for that?"

    http://www.theslingshotforum.com/f5/pheasant-hunting-31204/index2.html

That is hard for the rest of the people, but effective an CONSEQUENT..
Just like legalising the hedge-plant :)

    Greetings to the Netherlands,

    Be

no in the 1980ish there where Squatters riots, the riot police shot with teargas, water cannons and rubber bullets
the Squatters returned fire with sling shot....
the police didn't think that was fair and laws where changed

    cry-babys

  7. It's worse here in Belgium; you can get fined (and possibly go to jail) for owning a can of pepper spray, a stun gun or a rubber baton.

Even a can of non-irritant "marker spray" (which would be legal in Holland and the UK) is classed as a "prohibited weapon" here.

In germany, the RAF(3rd generation) used slingshots against the police ald killed a few officers, that's why armrests are illegal now...

I'm sorry to hear that, you can always shoot in your backyard or garage though, right?
Carrying a slingshot around and shooting in public places will get you in trouble with the law pretty much anywhere but I'm sure nobody would call the police if you do it on your own property.

Yeah but there are a lot of people from the netherlands here, who build, buy and shoot slingshots. I think a lot of them don't really care about the rules and laws in the netherlands.

Sounds like I would have been smarter to send Onno his tradesling with the bands unattatched.

Could he or I have gotten in trouble? I'm glad customs didn't wonder why a "child's toy" was so heavy and open it!

    I feel like such a rebel badboy:p

slingshots indeed are illegal here, but i have never ever heard anyone complaining. i have a friend who works as a policeman and he said it would be fine as long as i don't do stupid things with it :)
